Paula graduated with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation in Physical Therapy (University of Manitoba). She has a Master of Clinical Science in Physical Therapy, Manipulative Therapy (Western University) and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT). She is also trained and certified in Acupuncture through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute (Acupuncture Canada) and recently completed the ConnectTherapy™ Series Level 4 with Dr. Linda-Joy Lee.
Paula has extensive training in manual and manipulative therapy, acupuncture, concussion assessment and treatment, exercise prescription and, most recently, has started on a new educational journey in the ConnectTherapy™ and The Thoracic Ring Approach™ created by the Canadian Physiotherapist, Researcher and Educator Dr. Lind-Joy (LJ) Lee.
Paula’s expertise is in working with complex, neuro-musculskeletal and orthopaedic conditions. She treats patients of all ages including children and works with individuals from all walks of life and occupations, providing assessment and treatment for personal, athletic, motor vehicle and work related injuries. Her treatment philosophy is a holistic one and her approach recognizes the interconnections of the different regions and systems in the body including the mind. Paula uses a detailed whole-body assessment and treatment approach to determine the underlying root cause of an individual’s pain, symptoms or dysfunction. This approach begins with understanding each patient’s story, educating each person about the source of their symptoms and engaging them in a proactive treatment plan which leads to improved movement, function and quality to life.
